Spencer Attracts Strong Interest at IFAT 2014 – Munich Germany
The Spencer Turbine Company attracted strong interest at its first ever participation in IFAT 2014, May 5 to 9, at Messe München, in Munich, Germany, to help make this one of the most successful IFAT exhibitions yet.
Spencer brought to IFAT its 123 years of air and gas handling experience, which has earned it a worldwide reputation as the company to contact for the latest technologies and capabilities for a broad range of air and gas handling applications. Spencer designs and manufacturers blowers and gas-pressure boosters that address industry challenges for water and wastewater treatment, energy recovery, and biogas including landfill gas and digester gas. Its product line enhances the energy efficiency of aeration, gas boosting and other applications.
IFAT 2014 participation was vital to Spencer’s plans to increase global market share. IFAT has established itself as the world’s leading trade fair for environmental technology, and this year’s emphasis was on clean drinking water, effective recycling and a responsible approach towards valuable resources. IFAT 2104 broke all previous records in many terms. In particular the proportion of visitors from around the world reached a historic high. There were more than 135,000 visitors from 170 countries (an increase of 10,000 visitors over the 2012 event). Traditionally a venue for German audiences, this year’s event attracted visitors from international markets that are increasingly important to Spencer.
It was a key opportunity to further implement Spencer’s international strategy and have in-depth talks with decision makers from throughout the European Union including Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Poland, the Czech Republic, Spain and Portugal.
“We were also able to showcase our products to expanding markets such as India, Turkey, China and South America,” said Spencer’s Vice President-Business Development Paul Burdick.
“It was an exciting start to Spencer’s IFAT participation. The contacts we made were very valuable.” Issues such as climate change, an increasing number of mega-cities and advancing industrialization in emerging countries mean that demand for Spencer’s energy efficient blower equipment solutions will only increase.
The featured Spencer products were the AyrJet® Series of high speed turbo blowers, custom designed hermetic gas boosters, and Power Mizer® high efficiency cast centrifugal blowers.
